Evgeny Bondarenko, is a young Russian artist who held his first solo exhibition in China at the Xiyuan Chinese Calligraphy Literature Museum. The exhibition, titled "The Rhythm of Life: Evgeny's Painting Sketch Exhibition," featured nearly 50 works that Genia created in the second half of the year after he arrived in China.
Genia's works focus on the details of everyday life from his unique perspective. He aims to show the inner music and energy flow around us, whether it be from living or non-living forms such as trees or power poles with wires. Through his art, he wants to transform these everyday details into a picture that enters the viewer's soul, bypassing their biases and materialism.
The exhibition was planned by the Xiyuan Chinese Calligraphy Literature Museum and received support from Zhejiang Xitang Tourism Cultural Development Co., Ltd. Before the exhibition, the invited artists stayed in Xitang to sketch and experience the life of water town residents. Young artists from various countries, including Italy, Czech Republic, the United States, Germany, and Australia, attended the opening party.
Genia's artistic journey started when he won the fourth Russian "Poster" Art Gold Award. He held his first solo exhibition at a Moscow gallery in 2011 and was invited to participate in the Shanghai International Art Camp in 2013, which eventually led to his first solo exhibition in China.
